Helping animals to active, pain free lives.

We are passionate about allowing animals to live an active and pain free life through providing help and support to the animal’s musculoskeletal system. This can be for various reasons from management of elderly patients through to rehabilitation of a specific condition following surgery.

Our Treatments.

Full equine & canine consultations consist of a full static and dynamic assessment followed by treatment using various appropriate manual and electrotherapies and the prescription of various rehabilitation exercises.

Meet Emily.

Libertas Veterinary Physiotherapy is owned and run by Emily Cruickshanks
who is a fully insured member of the NAVP. She holds a first class degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Emily has had animals her whole life and has competed and worked with horses in all equestrian disciplines with her main interest with her own horses being showjumping. She is therefore knowledgeable of the demands placed on performance horses. Emily first realised her passion for physiotherapy after observing its benefits first hand after one of her own animals suffered a severe injury requiring extensive rehabilitation. Furthermore while on work experience Emily was inspired by the amazing results of collaboration between physiotherapists and vets in returning dogs with neurological disorders to their previous quality of life.
